‘Mapserver’ is an application that makes it possible to view large amount of Geo-data (Raster and Vector data) over the inter- or intranet, in the form of an interactive map.

With this application geographical data can be viewed by a larger audience in an uncomplicated manner.

The information system Alpenquellen (Alpine Springs) was put together by the joint work of ‘Interactive maps on the net – flexible with Mapserver Technology’ and the OpenSource – Solution UMN-Mapserver.
